The Hub Bar
Our theatre bar opens one hour before most of our Events and Performances. We serve a selection of wines, beers and spirits as well as soft drinks and snacks including Northern Bloc Ice Cream, Yorkshire Crisps and Yorkshire Popcorn.
Concert Hall Restoration
Our magnificent Concert Hall was originally built in 1862 as a public function room, the ceiling was later raised and the ornate plaster ceiling created. As part of our redevelopment project (2019 – 2021) the hall has been painstakingly restored to it’s former glory, including the ornate ceiling and art deco light fittings.
The proscenium arch with fixed stage was removed, making way for a fully flexible demountable stage and new 21st century performance facilities purchased with an Arts Council England Capital Grant.
